Neko's Shop

Neko's Shops are destinations at the end of every level in both games (though it's literally "invisible" in the first one).

After defeating the boss, the player will enter Neko's Shop. It's obviously the chain of the Neko family.

In Enigmata[]

In the original Enigmata, Neko's Shop doesn't have a visible form and thus only exists as an abstract concept. In Neko's Shop, you can do pretty much everything that you can in the game while not shooting enemies. There, you can repair your armor, recharge your shield, recharge your energy, buy equipments, buy new ships, buy more missiles, claim your achievements prize, participating in Time Attacks, and finally save and load your game.

In Enigmata: Genu's Revenge[]

In Enigmata: Genu's Revenge, the shop has gained a physical form in the game (shown above), and you're actually shown flying towards the shop, not magically teleporting into it.

Because of this, you can shoot the shop if you want to, but it's nigh-indestructible. However, it's actually still possible to destroy it, and if you "somehow" destroy it after defeating a boss (simulated or not) you will awarded an achievement. You must use Time Stop to actually destroy it (due to the short time you have before the Level Complete! dialog appears).

The Neko's Shop in Enigmata: Genu's Revenge retained all of its functions from the original game minus the Time Attacks. However, it now has three new functions: it now allows you to buy skills directly from the shop, lets you equip your collected items, and finally lets you participate in Nekon Attacks here in place of Time Attacks. It also has a boss form...

As a Boss[]

Difficulty Trivial
Previous Boss None
Next Boss None

Neko's Shop will sometime becomes a boss if you replay a level without battling its original boss. The reason for this is because "the Neko's Shop's defense system malfunctioned", as stated by its owner, Neko III. It has very weak armor though, and all what it does is shooting big streams of small and weak red bullets, and also sometimes shoots long red bullets in a spread formation. In short, it's a Genu Command Core in disguise!
